FEW’s 40th Anniversary
40th Anniversary Keynote Speaker: Vernice Armour
It
's time to celebrate, recognize, and reflect on 40 years of dedicated
service by the members of Federally Employed Women (FEW). 2008
marks the 40th anniversary of FEW. Under
the leadership of Michelle Crockett and Brenda Hagar, 40th Anniversary
Committee Co-Chairs, FEW will kick off its year-long celebration with
a press conference and commemorative event in April 2008 in Washington,
DC, where it all began. Events will be held throughout the year
at FEW’s chapters and regions.
A gala celebration is being planned to recognize the accomplishments
of an organization that has been at the forefront of advancing women
in the federal workplace. The gala banquet celebration is planned
for Thursday evening, July 17 th, in Anaheim during FEW’s 39th
National Training Program (NTP). FEW’s past presidents are being
invited as special honored guests and will be participating in the
Past President’s Forum earlier in the day.
These commemorative activities will certainly make the 2008 NTP
an event to remember and one that you don’t want to miss! Plan
to be part of the celebration!
